  Requirements
Position Description:
RRS/ITI---. Secondary Primary Responsibility: Representing Ford, and Ford IT principles, practices, and values in IT transactions with 3rd parties via drafting, reviewing, editing legal documents. . Position responsibilities may also include: o Manage risk to Ford, Ford IT, and Ford subsidiaries through effective risk mitigation strategies and negotiations with 3rd parties. o Manage multiple complex projects with internal Ford customers and 3rd parties to achieve required deadlines. o Participate in cross-functional teams formed to ensure that business objectives and requirements are met with a given transaction. o Ensure effective ongoing relationships with internal Ford customers and external 3rd parties with whom there are existing transactions (licenses, agreements, regulatory). o Participate in IT Supplier Relationship Management activities . contribute to and manage an IT center of excellence for supplier management (framework, tools, practices, learning resources for IT professionals), . establish contract management for key IT contracts, including processes for governance and on-going monitoring of and feedback related to supplier performance . Guide development of relationships with new suppliers to deliver win-win outcomes supporting Ford"s long-term IT strategy. o Consult with business partners on proposed or completed transactions in order to aid their decision making and risk assessment. o Provide proactive decision making information for contracts and other related legal documents.
Skills Required:
. JD Degree . Bachelor.s Degree in a technical or business field/ or relevant experience (Information technology industry experience sufficient to understand IT requirements, technology products/services, and assess risks) (Application development / Java experience helpful) . Demonstrated ability to maintain focus with strong attention to details . Demonstrated experience with negotiating and drafting IT technology contracts, specifically software licenses . Demonstrated experience assessing risk in software license agreements . Demonstrated experience as a self-starter with the ability to work as an independent problem solver . Demonstrated experience managing internal corporate relationships and supplier relationships . Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service in various IT transactions

Demonstrated understanding of Open Source Software projects development Demonstrated experience reviewing and assessing OSS and software license agreements Demonstrated application development knowledge Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to work globally including cultural sensitivity, time-zone awareness and audio/web-ex collaboration tools Personal Attributes: Ability to provide excellent customer service by: listening to customer to ascertain clear objectives suggesting lower risk alternatives which may equally suit customer.s needs identifying the key drivers in transactions balancing enterprise risk factors with customer"s goals setting strategy and defining actions to achieve the strategy applying industry knowledge to drafting agreements and conducting negotiations motivating and leading diverse teams to execute a particular transaction Ability to leverage limited resources to achieve goals Flexibility Drive to proactively manage internal and supplier issues/relationships Communication - translating license risk stemming from OSS use into business risk Other Information: Requires unique combination of competency in IT, OSS, law, and general business and ability to assess associated risks for given situation Key role in numerous types of transactions (services, hardware, software, data) resulting in a required breadth of competence Manage multiple projects simultaneously Requires management of cross functional/multi-departmental global projects. Requires constant balancing of internal customer"s goals with overall corporate risk management (balancing pressing project needs with prudent risk management) resulting in the need to frequently use mediation, problem solving, communication, and influencing skills Requires ability to understand the motivations of each party and creatively translate that into a win-win solution
Education Required:
Law Degree (JD) Bachelors Degree in technical or business field or related experience
